Areas on the planet that have long faced water shortage were able to combat the problem by harvesting what little rainwater they received. The process of collecting and storing rainwater in a scientific and controlled manner for future use is called Rainwater Harvesting. In this, a catchment area for the water is directly linked to cisterns, tanks and reservoirs. Water can be stored here until needed or used on a daily basis. This is why under the MJSA, Project on Rainwater Harvesting has been taken in full account and this project reportedly has emerged as a viable alternative to traditional perennial sources of water in the recent times. Funding for different water projects like Rainwater harvesting has resulted in the betterment of water condition in the state. You can also donate and contribute to MJSA campaign because it would ultimately help improving the state’s water efficiency.
